First, I can’t describe how exciting it is to join the Rockitek Team. For over twenty-one years I have helped companies emerge with new capabilities which solved customer data problems. In my new role, I will have the opportunity to continue to Solution the heck out of things in the interest of opening new markets and getting customers what they need.
Historically, I started in distribution with Ingram Micro where I worked with NAI’s PGP, Gauntlet, and Sniffer Tools later promoted to Product Manager. I joined Network Associates in Federal Channels in 2000, after three years I took my first field job with Ingrian Networks, building the plane in the air we developed edge encryptors, database, and application solutions which later became SafeNet’s key secure. In eight and a half years at Vormetric, I worked largely with special programs customers to extend the file encryption and key management capabilities which were then adopted by large financial services and retail clients. Followed by helping PKWARE with a restart seven years ago, a move which I am most proud of being gifted the opportunity to engage with so many great people over the years doing such tremendous work and allowing me to earn their trust. PKWARE evolved into an automated platform to find, tag, protect, and report on data removing both the friction from the user experience and disruption from point product incompatibility.
There is probably no better movie to see someone Solution the heck out of things. The great news is that I am not alone on a planet, I am surrounded by a great team of people focused on customer success in both the end-user and vendor communities. I am looking forward to this journey and getting to know the current and future clients of Rockitek with a focus on helping you overcome your challenges and find success.
They say duct tape fixes everything but that’s not a strategy for zero trust. As Vice-Chair of the ATARC working group, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with industry and government to unwind the challenges of the current state and focus on the root goal – the Data.
The Rockitek portfolio was assembled to provide clients value in a complementary way. Being able to see threats before they horizon, improve access and identity capabilities for today’s threats, and fully automate data protection with true random keys and quantum-safe algorithms to disrupt adversaries’ strategies.
For the past two years, I have actively participated in NIST’s NCCOE Data Governance and Data Protection Programs which will very shortly yield reference architectures that will reduce the friction of crypto hops and remove the expense and disruption caused by disparate key management systems.
So now that I have launched we are ready to listen and when you need us we will be there.
